LONDON MARKETS,
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 26. The Agent-General, in his' weekly advice to the Agricultural Department, says— The market is firm. The average prices for mutton to-day are: Canterbury 3d, .^unedin and Southland 3£d, North Island 31 d, River Plate 3id. The lamb market is depressed, and the prices are unchanged.* Tho beef market is steady. Average prices New Zealand beef: Hind quarters 3fd, fores 2|d. The hemp market, is very firm. Fair Wellington: Spot £26, November-Decem-ber shipment £24 10s.
