(Per Press Association.) ! WELLINGTON, August 26. ' The annual' meeting of the New Zealand Institute of Journalists was held today It was decided that the head-quar-ters of tihe Institute should be at .uunedin The election of officers resulted as follows :—President. Mr. M. Cohen (Dunedin); vice-presiden'.s, Mr. Gresley Lukui (Wellington), Mr. Triggs (Chnstchurch), and Mr. -A. Reid (Auckland); general secretary. Mr. E. Huil (Dunedin); treasurer, Mr *T. Walker (Dunedin); auditor, Mr. J. Hutchison (Duneain). A resolution was passed in favour of the Institute formulating some scheme by which a, benefit fund mi"ht be established. It was resolved itfiat it is secessary y o the welfare, if not "othe very existence' of the Institute, if it is to ba of real value to the working journalists of the colony not being employers, that sileps ba at once taken to procure registration under tihe Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act.
