THE NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM,
Ver Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 23. Mr. Henderson, ' manager of the New South Wales team, says it is not intended to send over to Sydney for reserves. They will pay New Zealand with tlie best team available. It would be unwise to bring emergencies over, sseing foliat the best players could not come in the first instance, and that another team is required to go to Queensland, consequently this new-comers would b*9 only second-rate players. In the match against Otago, to-morrow, Wickham and Hughes (the crack iihreequarters), Harris (half-back), Cbste'.lo (captain), Beaumont, Harris, and C. Shortland (forwards) are standing down, owing to injuries. The team is, therefore, a weak one.
Tho Representative team will play a practice match with the T.Y.M.I. first fifteen this afternoon on the Recreation ground at 2.30 o'clock.
Aramoho meet T.Y.M.I. in the final for .tho Third Class Cfap on the Recreation ground (No. 1) this afternoon at 1.30 o'clock.
The Rugby Union has granted permission to tlb.e Wanganui College team to play Wellington and Christ College at Christchurch on 29th and 31st instants, respectively.
