SCRATCHINGS.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTOHURCH, August 14. ' St. Denis has been scratched for the Islington and August Handicaps, and Nipapu for the Beaufort Steeplechase. A strong south-wester, with heavy rain, set in this afternoon, and the weather prospects for to-morrow are not too promising.
