The Cliincse peace envoys are afraid not to support Russia's demands in Manchuria, although they are a,warc it will mean the loss of tho province and probably caus« trouble with the other Powers 'because only Russituis and Chinese will ba allowed in Manchuria, except at greatest disadvantage). Prince Ching solicits foreign Ministers' advice in the matter.
The total number of missionaries murdered in China were 134 adults and 52 children; 70 adults and 28 children were English, and the rest are stated to be Swedes and Americans.
