Few people ever stop to think, when measuring out a teaspoonful or when buying a pound of tea, of the enormous quantity required to supply the people of New Zealand. A visit to the wharf during tha past month would have been an eye-opener. Nelson, Moate and Co., Limited, receive shipmfints of tea by almost every steamer from Ceylon and India throughout the year, and have landed, during the last thr^e weeks alcne, tho huge amount of 300,000 pounds, which is enough tea to provide every man, woman and child in New Zealand with 34 cups each of strong tea.
