The entries of cattle and pigs at Adding-tomto-day were about equal tothose of the previous week's, but the numbers of sheep yarded showed a decided falling off. The business done was generally satisfactory. Fat Cattle— The entry'comprteed 141 head of rather mixed quality. Steers brought from £5 17s 6d to- £9 15s, heifers £5 to £8 ss, cows, £4 5s to £7 10s, three extra good ones bringing £9 7s 6d, £9 ' 14s', to • £10 : prime beef iealised_from 22s to 25s per lOOlbs, and medium to good, 18s to 21s ; store cattle were of rather, rough quality, but they met^with a fairly good demand. Dry cows brought £1 17s 6d to £3 10 ; 2-year-old heifers, £3 2s 6d to £3 7s 6d ; yearlhigs (mixed sexes), £1 12s ; 3-year-old steers^ £5 2s 6d. The entry of fat sheep was very small, but it was of good quuality. The sale opened at last week's ( . prices, values imE roving as 1 it progressed. Heavy wethers rought from 22s to 25s 9d ; prime freezers, 19a t0, 21s 6dj extra choice, 24s to 275; light-wethers, 17s 5d to 18s' 9d; butchers' ewes up to 20s 2d ; merino wethers, 18s 4d to 20s. ' . . _ Barely 300 store sheep were yarded, the principal line being 173 hoggets, which brought 14s. A smaller line realised 15s 6d, while a few wethers sold at 16s 4d. About 40 fat lambs were penned, prices shownig an improvement on last ■ week's rates. Values ranged 'from 12s 9d to 16s ■ 3d.- ". ■_ Piga were fairly well represented, b\jt the quality. was hardly as good us it might have been. Prices, however, were practically the same as obtained last week. Baconers, 32s Sil to 38s ; porkers', 22s 6d to 30s ; stores, 14s to 21s ; suckers and weaners, 8a ,to 13^. Prices were equal tp-3id to 3|d per lb for baconers, and 3|d to 4d per lb for porkers. ...
