Tho Maroro Golf Club hold ;i competition day on Saturday, tho 22nd hist. The first event will, be the Putting Competition, played on the home green. No. 2, Stroke Handicap, of 6 holes. No. 3, Driving nnd Approaching, 250 yards ; two strokes ; player nearest holo. the winner. No. 4, 'llouey Handicap, of 6 holes. There will be no handicap in the Putting and Driving and Approaching Contests. In the . other events the handicaps below are for 12 holes. For the Stroke Competition the handicap for the last 6 holes on the. Club's handicap table will be taken, and for the Bogey Match the second six. Pairs ! will bo posted in the golf shed. Players of other clubs who arc present will be handicapped on the grouncf. The following are the handicaps : — J. G. Bell scr, F. P. Parkes 2, L. Caldwell, A. Lucenu and W. A. Pawsou 3, D. Bell 5, Bates, Tucker and Francis 6, H. TayJor 8, Naylor, A. T. White and D. Hogg 9, J. Hogg, McKay and Baker 12, Rodicelf 15. Entrance each event 6d. Judge, V. P. Aiken, Ksqf The Putting Competition will start at 2.15.
