A fire at Bulclutba yesterday .morning completely destroyed a block of wooden buildings in the centre of the town, comprising MoLeod's (diaper), Fruist's (tobacconist), and the old Criterion Hotel. The fire originated in McJLeod's". Fruist's and M«Beod's shops are .owned by the Hal'ensteins, and the hotel by Mclntire, Miller's . Hat. -' The • insurances are:— Hallenstein, unknown ; old hotel, £300 in the Royal. John McDonnell, . lessee of the latter," saved tho bulk of bis furniture. He estimates his loss at £80. He was uninsured. McLeod's stock was insured for £500 in the Phoenix ; Fruist's, valued at £300, was uninsured. "-
