At the inquest on Thomas Atkins, drowned in the river, held this morning, evidence was given that he was a married man with a wife and three c l ildivn, residing at Auckland., He had been working in i\ bush camp, .and came to town a few days ago, having been on the spri.4 since. • A witness stated he went into nis bedroom, and bade him good-by> M 5 o'clock' in the. morning he was "raving like a maniac, and shortly afterwards he was seen running towards the river. >
