Place Handicap.— Fairy Princess 1, April Fool 2, X-Ray 3. Twelve started. Betting : 4-i to 1 Alemene, 10 to 1 Fairy Princess. Won by a length and a half. Time, 2min. 35sec. Steeplechase.— Mangcre 1, Parnell 2, Cardigan 3. Fiv£ started. Betting: sto 4 Echo, .6 to 1 Mangere. Won by forty lengths. All the others had mishaps. Time, 7min. 52sec. Second Nursery.— Chesney 1, Nambucca 2, Parthian 3. Eleven started. Betting ; 3to 1 Nambucca, 7to 1 Chesney. W'na by three-quarters of a length. Time," lmin. 43.sec. A. J.C.
