NEVINA — REGD. A New Name For An Old Friend, Kangarctto boots aud shoes of our rnannfacture will in future be known as NEVINA boota aud shoos. Our reasons for altering the name are as follows : 1. Tho Chiof Justice has dooided that Kangaretto, Kangiratti, etc., aio corruptions of tha \sord Kangaroo. 2. The word Kangaroo is common property, and as such may be n3od by anyono. 3. Thaword Kangaroo not being rvgistrable, therefore the word Kangarette caunjt bo registered. 4' Our brand " Angarotto" is an invented word, and can be registered,, but if other firms use the words ICangarotte, KanganUt.!, etc., there would be confusion, and the publ o would be deceived, the wo ds being of a s':ratlar sound. 5. Korne traders and manufacturers havo used the branls Kangaratta, or Kanguretto to boots and Bboes NOT made of either K mgaroo or Wallaby skinj. G. The word NEVIN&, having baeu invented by ourselves and registerdd, will bo used only to boots and shoes mado from Wallaby skins, the s.rongaat and softest leather known. 7. As no doubt niauy manufacturer.? will now get up Kangarette boots and shoos, and so tako advantage of our former advertising we deem i! our duty to iho general publio a. d ourselves to change our brand to Nevina. We caution all buyers not to bo deceived by buying any boots or shoe 3 unless they are branded with our naiia and the Duke's Head on the solo a3 well as our Angaretio brand.
