Any colonial photographer must feel flattered to find his work reproduced in such a high-class Art Journal as the London Sketch, alongside of such men as Lavlette, etc. Mr Billens, of the Marton Studio, sent two large portrait photos to the Illustrated News Oilice, one of which uppears in the Sketch of October 28th. The title of it is "Floweis fiom Rangitikei," behig a reproduction from 15 x 12 direct photo of the Misses Flossie and Violet Gruar, daughters of AY. Gruar, Esq., of Marton. No second-class pictures are published 'in a ■ work -like the Sketch. This is another instance of the excellence of the Marton
