[Pbom Our Own Cobrejpondbnt]. Wavkmby, September 21. Tbo competition for Mr McGuire'a belt was fired off here last Friday and resulted in a win for Sarpeant Davis. As thiß is the third occasion on wbich Sergeant Davis bus come out on top, the belt now becomes his absolute property. The Alexandra Cavalry and Wairoa Mounted Bides teams match eventuated here last Saturday. Both corps were well represented and a close filish was predicted, but after the 200yds rings had been fired the Wairoas took a slight lead, and gradually increasing same at the other three ranges, won handsomely by SI points. Tho following are the scores: —
