♦ . . (Pbb Pbess Association.) Dahevibke, February 29. Bush fires hare uprung up in the Makotcku and Ormondville districts. McLeod's sawmill at Makotuku has been burned down. The Hawke's Bay Timber Company's sawmill at Tahoraiti with the manager's and employees' dwellings were doßlroyed by Ate this morning oausod by tho spreading of bush fires. Tho insurances are— Plant £500 and itook £100. There are ofchnr iußuranoea but the particulars are not ■ kuown. The Company are heavy losers. I
