(P«Bn Pbbss Association.) Wellington, August 7. The Council met at 2.30. Ihe Hon T. Kelly moved the second readiag of the Employers Private Benefit Sucieties Bill. The Eon E. Richafd.on moved that the Bill be read a second time that dav six months, and aftsr discussion the Bill was Ihrown out by 20 to 10. The Council rose at 6 p.m. August 8, The Council.met at 2 30 p.m. The Hon Mr Kelly presented a petition signed by 15,000 Roman Catholics, praying that Education Board Inspectors be permitted to inspect Catholic Sohools. It was announced that th6 conference of the two Houses on the Criminal Code Act Amendment Bill had failed to agree. The Beprint of the Statutes Bill was read a second time. Tho Family Homes Protection Bill Evidence was further amended. The Bill passed through Committee without material amendment. The Council rose at 5 p.m.
