At thecloseof thefcboolon Wednesday the scholars, through Miss L:zzie Taylor, presented the teacher, Mr Henry [.aw, who is leaving for To Roti, with tho following address, accompanied with a vary valuable gold albert:—" We, the children of the Kapuoi School, hear with regiet that we are about to lose you as our tvarher. Wo therefore tafee this opportunity of wishing you every happiness in your now school, as durinp tbe six years yon havo been teaching hero we have always found you impartial to ub ns scholar?, and always willing to assist in getting up anything for our entertainment i Wo havo also seen •th.t you were always anxious that wo should learn obedience, honesty, and truthfulness, which will bo to oui benefit [in the future. Wo have erary cor.fidonce ! that you will rise in your pro'e3sion, and trust that in the future you will always be able to look back with pleasure to the time you have been here, and that your present scholars will continue to show,the results of your good t?aching. Wo desire you to accept of this token of our CBtoem ' as a memento from us, and may you long have health to wear it in remembrance of u». In conclusion, we all wish you and Mrs Law and family health and happiness wherever you may dwell." Tho parting was very touching, many of the scholars being in roar?; the master, too, being visibly affected. In lha ovoning the parents gavo Mr and Mrs Liw a surprise supper at tho roaidonoe, and presented Mrs Law with a handsome goid brooch. With speeches and nuisic, a very pleasant evening was spont.ind many rogrets were expressed at their departure.
