Master's certificates to be produced to Clerk of the Scales. 4 Tkial Steeplechase Handicap, of 80 soys. ; second horse to receive 10 soys rom tho stakes ; for all horses which have never won a Steeplechase of tho value of 25 soys ; (hocks and hunters excepted) ; distance, about 2 miles ; over such course as the Stewards may direct. TUESDAY, May 8, 1894 (on or about)Weights for Hunter's, Trial, and Hack Flat Handicaps. TUESDAY, May 15th, at 9.30 p.m.— Acceptances : Hunter's Steeplechase; 1 soy. ; Hack Flat Handicap, 10s. THURSDAY, May 24th (on tho Course) —Weights for Final Steeplechase will be declared after the Trial Steeplechase, and acceptances half-an-hour before the race starts: RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries, nominations, etc., will close at the Secretary's office at 9 p.m., except when otherwise specified. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at tho time of entry, name of owner, pedigree, colours of the rider, and in case of handicaps where horses have not previously started on the Wanganui course, pedigree and performance of the horso. Any owner failing to declare his colours at time of entry will be fined 2 soys., unless the colours of the owner of the horse are duly registered. All entries can be made on the Club's printed forms of entry, and must be sent to the Secretary of the Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, from whom entry forms can be btained. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at tho earliest possible opportunity. All horses must be ridden in colours. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 2 soys. When two or more horses start, Ihe pro pertyof the samo owner, a distinguishing colour must be declared on entry day, and worn. Any person neglecting thisrulo to be fined 2 soys. In all cases whero penalties have to be carried for winning, it .shall be the duty of the owner, trainev or iockey to notify the same to the Secretary, when possible, the evening before the race, or in any case half-au-hour prior to the start. Any porson neglecting to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 soys. In all races other than handicaps an allowance will be made to all horses sired north of the lino, in accordance with the following seale :— 2 and 3-year-olds, 101 b .; 4-year-olds, 71bs. ; 5-year-old. 31bfi. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales on-half-hour before the official time for starting the race. An person neglectiug or ree fusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by tho Stewards, not exceediDg 20 soys., to thcßace Fund. Five per cent will be deducted from all winnings towards the expenses of the course. f^All races to bo run under the rules of Racing.
