BOARD OF GOVERNORS; Tho Board of Governors of the Girls' High School met yostorday afternoon, Present— Messrs Notman (in the chair), Carson, Fry, Hurley, Baker, Bridge, and Sanson. Minutes. — Tho minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirniod. Gvbinasiuji.— On the motion of Mr Sanson, soconded by Mr Carson, it was resolved that tendors bo called for tho erection of irymnasiums 48 x 30, and 73ft Gin x 30ft, and that if the lowest tender for tho larger building does not oxcoed tjj architect's ostimato tl.o Exocutive Committeo bo ompoworod to accept it. Further, that tho chairman and architect arrange for tlio necessary internal Ittings being included in tho contract. Executive. — Resolvod, that tho chairman and Messrs Carson, Bridgo, and Baker bo tho Exocutiyo Committee for the current yaar. Fuiinitube. — Rosolvod, that desks and stook bB supplied. Scholarships.— On tho motion of Mr Carson, it was resolved that tho Executive Committee be requested to report at the next meeting of the Board on tbo desirability of granting scholarships to pupils attending the Girls' College. Retort.— The annual report was read and adopted, and the Board adjourned.
