THURSDAY, May 24th (on tho Course) —Weights for Final Steeplechase will be declared after the Trial Steeplechase, and acceptances half-an-hour before tho race starts: RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries, nominations, etc, will close at tho Secretary's office at 9 p.m., except when otherwise specified. All entries to be scaled and addressed to the Secretary, Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at the time of entry, namo of owner, pedigree, colours of the rider, and in case of handicaps where horses have not previously started on the Wanganui course, pedigree and performance of thehorse. Any owner failing to declare his colours at time of entry will be fined 2 soys., unless the colours of the owner of the horse are duly registered. All entries can bo made on tho Club's printed forms of entry, and must be sent to the Secretary of the Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, from whom entry forms can be btaincd. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at tho earliest possiblo opportunity. All horses must bo ridden m colours. Any jockey riding except in tho colours entered will be fined 2 soys. two or more horses start, (he pro perty of the s ame owner, n, distinguishing colour must be declared on entry day, and worn. Any person neglecting thisrule to be fined 2 soys. In all cases whers penalties have to be carried for winning, it .shall bo the duty of the owner, trainer or jockey to notify the same to the Secvetavy, when possible, the evening before the race, or in any case half-an-hour prior to the start. Any person neglecting to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by tho Stewards, not exceeding 5 soys. In all races other than handicaps an allowanco will be made to all horses sired north of the line, in accordance with the following scale :— 2 and 3-year-olds, 101 b. ; 4-year-olds, 71bs. ; 5-year-old. 31bs. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to tho Secretary or Clerk of the Scales on-half-hour before tho ollicial time for startiDg the race. An person neglectiug or reo fusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 20 soys., to the Race Fund. Five per cent will be deducted from all winnings towards the expenses of the course. "All races to be run under the rules of Racing.
