EDUCATION BOARD.
Tb'3 usual monthly meeting of the Educatiea Board commenced last eyoning. FrfEent— Messrs Notman (Chairman), Sanson, Budge, Hurley, Baker, Carson, Beckett, and the Rev. Mr Ross. Minutes.— The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, as was also the report of the Executiyp. Chairman. —On the motion of Mr Sanson, seconded by the Key. J, Robs, Mr Notman was unanimously re-eloctod Chairman for tho current year. The cash statement having beon read, the Board went into Committee. AITOINTMENTS. PATKA.-The application of T. A. Flood re staff was reforred to the Executive. Manaia. —It was decided that the namo of Henry Bourk be placed on tho list for pupil teachorship. Uiteb 'J'utaenoi.— Tho application of H. Bowater for a transfer was considered, and it was decided that the Executive arrange his removal if practicable. Wanoanui— It was decided that the name of Ann Mousley be placed on the list for a cadetahip. Ohingaiti. — The resignation of A. McGonagle as cadet was accepted. Kokmanby.— The name of M. K. Sisley was ordered to be placed on the list for pupil tfachersbip. Marton. — Miss L. Mooseman was appointed cadet at Marton, Stoney Creek, — Decided that, on receipt of Urs Ironmonger's resignation, Mr Ironmonger would be appointed. Pamierston.— H. P. Smith was appointed cadet at Campbell-street School. Bulls.— Miss M. Stevenson appointed cadet. Miss ThomFon was granted leave for another month, Mr Trewin being appointed to act in her absence. Staw. — Several applications for an increase of staff vere received and referred to the Executive for consideration during tho month. The Board then adjourned to 10.30 this morning.
