TUESDAY, May 8, 1894 (on or about) - Weights for Hunter's, Trial, and Hack Flat Handicaps. TUESDAY, May 15th, at 9.30 p.m.— Acceptances : Hunter's Steeplechase; 1 soy. ; Hack Flat Handicap, 10s. THURSDAY, May 24th (on the Course) —Weights for Final Steeplechase will be declared after the Trial Steeplechase, and acceptances half-an-hour before the race starts: RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries, nominations, etc., will close at the Secretary's office at 9 p.m., except when otherwise specified. All entries to bo sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at the time of entry, name of owner, pedigree, colours of the rider, and in case of handicaps where horses havo not previously started on the Wanganui course, pedigree and performance of the horse. Any owner failing to declare his colours at time of entry will be fined 2 soys., unless the colours of the owner of tho horse are duly registered. All entries can be made on the Club's printed forms of entry, ana must be sent to the Secretary of tho Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, from whom entry forms can be btained. Entries by telegram must bo confirmed in writing at tho earliest possible opportunity. All horses must bo ridden in colours. Any jockey riding except in tho colours entered will be fined 2 soys. When two or more horses start, Iho pro perty of the s amo owner, a distinguishing colour must be declared on entry day, and worn. Any person neglecting this rule to be fined 2 soys, In all cases where penalties have to be carried for winning, it shall be the duty of the owner, trainev or iockey to notify the same to the Secretary, when possible, the evening before the race, or in any case half-an-hour prior to tho start. Any person neglecting to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by tho Stewards, not exceediug 5 boys. In all races other than handicaps an allowance will be made to all horses sired north of the line, in accordance with tho following scale :— 2 and 3-year-olds, 101 b. ; 4-year-olds, 71bs. ; 5-year-old, 31bs. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales on-half-hour before the ollicial time for starting the race. An person neglectiug or rec fusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 20 soys., to theßace Fund. Five per cent will be deducted from all winnings towards the expenses of the course. ~AII races to be run under the rules of Racing.
