THURSDAY, May 24th (on the Course) —Weights for Final Steeplechase will be declared after the Trial Steeplechase, and acceptances half-an-hour before the race starts: RULES ANd"b?GULATIONS. 1 I All ontries, nominations, etc., will closo at the Secretary's office at 9 p.m., exoept when ! otherwise specified. All entries to bo sealed and addressed [to tho Secretary, Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at the time of entry, namo of owner, pedigree, colours of tho rider, and in case of handicaps where horses have not previously started on the Wanganui course, pedigree and performance of tho horse. Any owner failing to declaro his colours at timo of entry will bo fined 2 soys., unless the colours of tho owner of the horse arc duly registered. All entries can be made on the Club's printed forms of entry, and must be sent to tho Secretary of tho Wanganui Jockey Club, Wanganui, from whom entry forms can be btaincd. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at tho earliest possible opportunity. All horses must bo ridden in colours. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 2 soys. When two or moro horses start, Ihe pro perty of the s amo owner, a distinguishing colour must be declared on entry day, and worn. Any person neglecting thisrulo to bo fined 2 soys. In all cases where penalties havo to be carried for winning, it .ihall bo tho duty of the owner, trainer or iockey to notify tho same to the Secretary, when possible, tho evening before tho race, or in any case half-an-hour prior to tho start. Any person neglecting to comply with this rule shall pay a lino to bo imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 soys. 11l all races other than handicaps an allowance will bo made to all horses sired north of the line, in accordance with the following scale :— 2 and 3-year-olds, 101 b .; 4-year-olds, 71bs. ; 5-year-old. 31bs. All persons intending to withdraw horses aro required to give notice to that effect to tho Secretary or Clerk of tho Scales on-half-hour before the official lime for starting the race. An person neglecting or roe fusing to comply with this rule shall pay n fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 20 sovs., to thcßacc Fund. Five per cent will bo deducted from all winnings towards tho expenses of the course. All races to be run uudcr the rules of Raciug.
