N.Z. SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, January 18, A couference of tho associated swimmers attending Iho championship carnival was held. Mr Pyko, President of tho New Zealand Swimming Association, presided. The principal of the pnnjßritannie meeting was approved of, but it was decided to consult the Home Association before taking any definite action. A resolution irai passed in favour of voto being used for teaching ewimtning. It was decided to amalgamate rules and mutually recogniso all Huspeneions and disqualifications in New Zealand and New South Wales. Private swimming matches would ba disallowed as tending to fostor belling rather than sport, and any tmateur taking part in a match not sauctione'd by tho Abeocia. tion to lose his status.
