Egmont Earmenrs' Union (Llmited) Report.

(Special to Chronicle.) Haweba, July 22. There was another lively sale at Okaiawa on Thursday, the 13th inst., our yards beiug well supplied with cattle of a useful kind. Plenty of buyers were present, so that with a brisk demand and spirited bidding, all cattle changed hands with tbo exception of a pen of forward bullocks that did not quite reach the i reserves. We quote— Cattle. — Pat bullocke, £6 4s ; forward bullocks, M 15s to .£5 12s j 18 months to 2 year steers, £3 7s 6d to £4 7s j springers, £i 53 to £0 2s Gd; heifers in calf, £3 2s 6d to ,£3 193 Gd. Sheep. — Full mouth ewes in lamb, 6s. Our Manaia sale, which was held on Wednesday, the 19th inst,, was not so good a one as we could have wished, though everything was in favoar of it being so, for there were plenty o£ cattle yarded and buyers there to purchase them, but though they bid good prices for each line, reserves -were in many cases prohibitive, thus causing several lines to be passed in unsold. We quote — Cattlk. — Forward bullocks, £i 11s to £5 13s ; 12 to 18 months steers £2 12s to ,£3 13s 6d ; cows and calves, £5 5s to £(i 103 ; cows in calf, £1 to .£5 5s ; yearling heifers, £2 13s (id to £2 Via.
