The Press Association correspondent iv the New Hebrides writes that though there is distress among the p9ople it is not so great as anticipated; still it is teal enough. The jam crop was never large and that in Ambrya was generally saved, though the mission crop near the sm perished. Despite the hardships the people ate in fairly good health. The residents desned to publicly express their thanks to the whole mission party and for the sympathy and liberality displayed by New Zealand.
