In reply to a question, the Chief Secretary said he had no intention at present of asking Parliamentary sanction for a subsidy to the Canadian steam line He stated that after consideration it had been decided to wait until the financial burden had bean lightened, baside3 if the service is to be of much advantage to Queensland steamers should call at Keppel Bay as well as Queensland.
