Pupil Teachers Examination. Mr W. H. Vereker-Bindon, Chief Inspector of Schools.has kindly supplied us with the particulars of the pupil teachers' examinations held last month. We give below a list of the successful candidates in each class, together with the marks obtained in the compuleory and optional subjects and also the total percentage:— First Class.— Total marks obtainable in compulsory euljects 1000, in all subjpcts 1200:— William J. One other candidate was examined in this class, but failed, not having obtained 60 per cent., of the total possible marks. Nairn, Pal>ueraton North, 659 and 724, per cent., 65-8; Marian McDonouph, Wsnganui Girls, 640 and 718, per cent., 65 3; Eliza McEwen, Karere, 693 and 784, per cent., 60 3; Eleanor Watts, College-street Palmerston North, 666 and 723, per cont., 55 6. Marian Gane, 661 and 704, per cent., 54.2. Seven others presented themselveß, but failed to obtain the necessary percentage. Snelling, Manaia; «45 and 860, per cent., 662; Hugh Goldsbury, Maxwell, 765 and 845, per cent., 704 ; Harold Bowater, Sanson, 758 and 798, per cent., 66 5 ; Ethel George, Hawera, 790 and 810, per cent., 623; Peter JHathieson, Taonui, 693 and 768, percent., 64 9; Agnes McEwen, Karere, 748 and 807, per cent , 621 j Ada Watts, Feilding, 748 and 768, per cent., 59- 1 ; Elsie Mayo, Kakaramea, 742 and 772, per cent., 59-4 ; Ivy Watt, Wanganui Girls, 738 and 768, per cent, 591; Graham Armstrong, Wanganui Boys, 624 and 664, per cent., 653; Samuel Campbell, Feilding, 610 and 660, per cent., 55 0. Seven others presented themselves and failed, having failed to make the necessary percentage. Female candidates take needlework, and this increases their possible marks by 100. Josephine Bay and Elizabeth Murray passed for third class in terms of regulation 80.
