Tim United States Government have voted an additional half million dollars* to the Chicago Exhibition. England intends to annex Tanganyika. • Colonel North is negotiating with King Leopold, of Belgium, to develop the resources of the Congo State. The Times, commenting on the proposed judicial reforms, says they are bahind what snitors hoped for. It is believed that the United States will be unable to exclude the claims of Great Britain in the Pagopago Islands.
