In the first instance the Pilot knew she was outside the Heads, and whon he missed her in the morning why did he not do BOWething to try and find where she was » The statement of the crew is that six and a half hours after the vessel atruofc he came along the beach wjth nothing to assist the crew to get ashore. Sir, I think if the Pilot had lost a cow, or was looking for a frostflsh, he would have been along the beach early enough. If ,1 am right he asked the Board for an extra man at tho Station, and the Hoard granted the request, but then he said ha would do all the work himself.
