Lord Glasgow arrived hereto-day. He was received by Lord Kintore, Governor of South Australia, and will stay at Government House to-night. Melbourne, May 18. A statement has been tabled in the House cf Assembly to the effect that the Railway Commissioners took no adequate steps to carry out the will of Parliament. It also declares that the Commissioners have been guilty" of grossly extravagant mismanagement of the railways, which since theic term of office had been conducted without economy or business principles, and they had also refused to take steps towards a scheme of reform and retrenchment. Mr Speight, Chairman of tho Railway Board, who has been interviewed, declares that the charges are baseless and unprovable. London, May 17.
