WELLINGTON.
February 18. The Government offer £100 reward for information leading to the conviction of the persons who set fire to the public school at Hokitika on the 7th January last. At a meeting of creditors in the bank" rupt estate of A. Thompson, grocer, who is believed to have left Weilington, a resolution was oarried, "That the Official Assignee be authorised to spend all the necessary money required for the oapture of the bankrupt aud his prosecution for fraudulent bankruptcy," The supervisors of the estate recoin* mended that a reward of £50 for his apprehension and conviction, or a proportionate sum for any information as to bankrupt's movements, be offered, and that, say, 500 hand bills be published with a photograph of bankrupt at the head thereof offering the above reward.
