DESTRUCTIVE FIRE IN SYDNEY.
» ESTIMATED DAMAGE, £20,000. INSURANCE OFFICES HEAVILY HIT. (EEUTEIi'B TELEGRAMS.) Sydney, February 17. A moat destructive fire broke out today on the premises of Messrs Holdsworth and Maopherson, wholesale ironmongers. The loss is estimated at £20,000, which, however, is covered by insurance. Messrs Holds worth and Maopherson are insured to the extent of divided amongst the following 1 offices :— Commercial Union, Assurance, the Boyal, the North British, the Nor* them, the Liverpool, Landonand Globe, and Australian Alliance (Melbourne) Companies.
