(Received February 11, 1 p.m.) (keuter's telegrams.) London, February 10. ' There was a considerable amount of excitement in the city and southern suburbs this afternoon, when it was rumoured that a hostile mob was marching in from Green wiok and .Deptford. The rumour proved incorrect, buttbe majority of tbe Bhops were closed, and hundreds of extra policemen were stationed at the vatiou- 1 points wherever groups of roughs congregated. The events of the last few days have given rise to a vory general feeling of uneasiness the residents of the metropolis, special precautions being adopted by tbe authorities to preserve order.
