EXTENSIVE JEWELLERY ROBBERY IN WELLINGTON.
* JENNESS'S SHOP BKOKBN INTO. (PER TOUTED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLiirarow, May 27. A daring jewel robbery was perpetrated last night, or early this morning, at Jenness's jewellery shop. The robbers effected an entrance at the book of the building by cutting out the panel of the door, and thus turning the key. They carried nine locally-manufactured lanterns, whioh had been arranged so aa to be darkened, They t00k 26 gold watches, 40 silver watches, 20 solid gold alberts, 15 English alberts, 20 ladies' gold alberts, 40 to 45 gold necklets, 24 silver necklets, 12 ladies' silver alberts, six dozen of silver rings, 12 gold brooches and earrings, including five diamond sets valned from £3 to £35, 12 gold and diamond scarf pins. The total loes is estimated at between £1500 and £2000. .
