NEW PLYMOUTH.

July 22. The Natives when visiting Te Whiti, at Parihaka, gave him in donations over £500 in money. TeWhiti's influence over the Natives is in no way diminishing ; in fact an old chief who was at the recent meeting was heard to remark that no Native ever had such power over a number of Maoris as Te Whiti and Tohu have at the present time.
