July 20. Consols remain at 100 J. New Zealand securities—s per cent. (10.40) loan, 105£; 5 per cent (1889) loan, 105; 4£ per cent. (1879-1904) loan, 103. New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, 48s. ' Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, remains at 34s 6d. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 48s. In the House of Commons to-day, the postponed clauses of the Irish Land Bill were passed through Committee after debate. The Bill was reported to the House, with amendments, and the third reading fixed for next sitting. In the course of to-day's sitting the appointments to the Irish Land Commission were approved by the House of Commons without opposition. Telegrams are to haad from Tunis announcing that numerous desertions are taking place from the Tunisian army, owing to a strong feeling among the troops of sympathy with the rising of the Arab tribes.
