IRangitikei HobticuliTubal Show. — The Autumn Show of this Society will be held at Marton to-day.
Excursion Up River. — The little steamer Irishman is advertised for a trip up the river to-morrow at 10 a.m. Panoeama. — A Panorama of the Franco-Prussian War will be exhibited in a building adjoining tlte Pier Hotel, this evening. Teinity Ohubch. — The Sabbath School anniversary services will be held to-morrow. The Rev Mr Lee will preach morning and evening, and special hymns will be sung by the children. Removal.— By the Oreti last night, Mr William Wesb was a passoDger for Wellington, en rcmte for Kumara, where he has accepted the charge of a Presbyterian Church. We wish him abundant success in his new sphere of labour. Presentation. — At a very pleasant social meeting held last night, Mr A. Thomson was presented with a very handsome timepiece, by the teachers of the division of the Presbyterian Sunday School, over which he has for some years been Superintendent. The Waxwokics.— A constant stream of visitors patronized the Hall yesterday and at night the attendance was such that the workfof inspection was carried out under difficulties. The exhibition will be continued to-day and this evening. R.M. Court.— At this Court yesterday a drunk was mulcted in the sum of sa, with the usual alternative. No less than eleven cases had been set down for hearing, but not a solitary one was heard. In some cases judgment had been confessed, some were enlarged, and others were struck out through non-appearance of the parties. Wanganui Regatta. — A meeting of the Regatta Committee appointed to make arrangements was held last night at the Commercial Hotel, when the programme which we publish elsewhere was arranged, and the 28th instant decided on as the date of the Regatta. As will be seen prizes to the amount of £80 are offered. It was resolved that an energetic canvass for subscriptions be made, the canvassing committee to consist of Messrs Shaw, Ward, Nation, Pollock, and Powell.
