ADDITION AL ENGLISH NEWS.
A revolt occurred in Bai*oda, and the infant son of Guico war's daughter was placed on the throne by the excited populace. The revolt was ultimately suppressed. Cholera is raging in India, people having been attacked and died in railway carriages. The Gothenburg Relief Fund was divided as follows :— Captain's widow and family, £400 ; widow and family of chief ofiicer, £480 ; Mrs Goulder, widow of passenger, and having eight children, £535. There are 5,000 Chinese now on the right and left branches of the Palmer. The schooner Sybil arrived at Maryborough from the Smith Sea Islands with 113 labourers on board. She reports famine at the Islands, caused through hurricanes, earthquakes, and tidal waves.
