REGULATION AS TO SLAUGHTER HOUSES. IN pursuance of Subdivision 2 of Part VIII. Schedule 13 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the Borough of Wanganui, make the following Regulation (that is to say) — 1. The annual sum to be paid for a license for every Slaughterhouse now in use within the Borough shall be 20s, and for every Slaughterhouse to be hereafter opened 4Cs, such, turns to be pa y able in adrance, such licence to commence on the first day of July in every year, and «nd on the 30th day of Juue following. 2. It shall be the duty of the owner or lessee of any Slaughterhouse to provide the animals while kept theie with a sufficient supply of water, to the satisfaction of any person appointed in that behalf by the Council. 3. That no cruelty shall be committed in any slaughterhouse. 4. The owner or lessee of any slaughterLouse shall keep the same in a cleanly and proper state, and remove all offal, refuse, and filth to such place as shall be prescribed fiom time to time by the Council. 5. That every slaughterhouse shall at all times be open to the inspection of the Inspector of Nuisances, or such other person as may from time to time be op|K)inted in that behalf by the Council, Parsed the Council, this twentylourth day of April, one thousand eight hundred aud seventy four.
