Flour, ( Wanganui Steam Mill ),silk dressed, £25. 10s per ton ; Netlye Mill, £lB per ton., Wheat, (is 9d to 7s per bushel of 60 lbs. Oats, (is 6d to 6s 9d per bushel of 40 lb«. Potatoes, £o to £7 per ton. Bacon and Hams, uone in the market. Butter, Is per lb—only selling in small par* eels ; considerable stocks iu farmers’ hand?. Fat Cattle, 25s to 80s per 100 lbs. Fat Sheep, 3£d to 4d per lb. Tigs, 3d to Sid per lb. RETAIL. Bread, Is per 41b loaf. * Butter, Is 3d to Is 6d per lb. ; Beef, (id to 8d per 1 Mutton, 7d per lb. Bacon, 2s per lb. AUCKLAND, April 0. Horses —The supply is large, chiefly* from Melbourne and Dunedin. 84 very line animals were sold during the week, at prices rangingi
from 50/ to 95/. Several large framed horses* without any warranty, were sold at from 12/ to 20/. Light hacks sell at 6/ to 16/. i Cattle—Fat in fair supply ; bullocks fetch 16/ !to 171 12s 6d, cows, 12/10s to 15/ 17s tkl. Dairy and Store cattle scarce ; niilch cows, 12 j jto 14/ 10s. Sheep—Fat scarce; a few sold at 22a 6d. A large lot of store sheep was sold at 20s. Flour ( silk dressed ), 30/ per ton. Wheat, Adelaide, 10s 6d per bushel. DUNEDIN, April 4. j Horses. —Very little doing during the past month, the market being bare of good stock !the followiug prices are quoted First-class heavy draughts, from L 55 to LBO Second do do do ~ 35 to 55 Superior well-bred hacks „ 35 to 55 Second class do do ~ IS to 30 Medium and packer „ 12 to 23 Cattle. —The market is now quite bare of imported fat stock, and there is a material improvement in the demand; importations of 'cattle are now entirely stopped; an d prime beef is quoted at 55s per lOhlbs; store stock sell at 9/to 10/. Sheep.—The large importations of sheep are; now nearly worked off, aud few are expected! jto arrive. Good mutton is in demand at 7.pi to: |Bdper lb ; 500 wethers from Melbourne brought* |3ss. Store ewes, 2to 6 tooth, are quoted at ; 30s to 32s 6d ; withers, at 25a to 265. ! MELBOURNE, April 1. . | Flour (silk dressed ), 24/ per ton. Prices firmer on account of the demand for New Zealand, j Wheat, Adelaide, 8:; 9d per bushel.
ADELAIDE, March 28. Flour—£22 per ton, rising in consequence of the great advance in prices at Dunedin. Wheat—7s 3d per bushel.
