REGENT THEATRE
“MRS. MINIVER.” “Mrs. Miniver” will be finally shown tonight. “MOKEY.” An excellent double feature programme will be shown tomorrow night. The season’s surprise entertainment is “Mokey,” and “Always a Bridesmaid.” “Mokey,” with Dan Dailey, Junr., Donna Reed and Bobby Blake in the chief roles, is an M.G.M. production. “Mokey” is eight years old, with tousled hair, sparkling eyes and a naughty grin. He ran away from home and his adventures are the most heartwarming since “Skippy.” “Always a Bridesmaid,” with Patrie Knowles and Grace McDonald and the Andrews Sisters. Scandal threatens a Lonely Hearts Club. This new comedy musical is full of fun and rhythm, and from a combination of novel happenings, should appeal to all, especially the ladies.
The weekend attraction will be the brilliant picture in technicolour, “Dixie.”
