Referring to a paragraph in yesterday’s issue regarding the remuneration received by the chairman of the Wairarapa Primary Production Council, Mr R. W. Kebbell states the position is that the Primary Production Council receives a grant of £650 per annum. The chairman receives no salary at all. His board is paid and he can only receive travelling expenses if there is any surplus after administrative expenses are paid. The administrative expenses include office rent, staff salaries, committee’s expenses, telephones,, advertising, printing, stationery, postages, etc.
