POWER BOARD BALL SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. z (“’Times-Age” Special.) The Tararua Electric Power Board staged a successful ball in Eketahuna in aid of the Borough Ladies Soldiers' Comforts Committee Parcel Fund. The hall was beautifully decorated. The stage was effectively decorated by Mrs Murray-Aynsley. Rouden’s Orchestra supplied the music and extras were played by' Miss A. Russell. Messrs, L. M. Brown and J. G. Shannon were M.’sC. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Mr. D. Braddick and Miss Ngaio Braddick. The lighting effects in the “Moonlight Confetti” dance -were most striking. Members of. the Power Board took the flag round and collected £6. Mr. AV. Olsen (Mayor) thanked the Murray-Aynsley. Rowden’s Orchestra the public, and all who had assisted. The supper was in charge of the committee. The sum of £66 7s 6d was handed over to the Parcel Fund. Personal. Aircraftman J. Curry, who has been spending leave with his parents, has returned to camp.
