NOTED NAVAL DESIGNER
DEATH OF MR. J. H. NARBETH. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 22. The death has occurred of Mr. John Harper Narbeth. Mr. Narbeth, who was within a few days of being 81 years of age, had a career of outstanding distinction as a designer of fighting ships. He had a share in the production of H.M.S. Dreadnought, in 1906, and was responsible for many other noteworthy developments in naval design and construe’ i tion.
