AGAIN ATTACKED

BV BOMBERS FROM ITALY PLANE FACTORY NEAR VIENNA OTHER OBJECTIVES IN AUSTRIA & DALMATIA LONDON, May 10. After being grounded for two days owing to bad weather, American heavy bombers based in Italy today flow over the Alps to attack a Luftwalfe plant near Vienna. They were briefed to smash up undamaged buildings and some of the planes went to an airfield nearby—a secondary target which had also been, bombed before.

The enemy defended the area with fighters and intense anti-aircraft fire, but the bombs were seen to fall in the target area. The Flying Fortresses and Liberators which made the attack were escorted by Lightnings, Thunderbolts and Mustangs. More Liberators today flew across the Adriatic to Yugoslavia to a railway centre near the Dalmatian coast.
