MASTERTON CLUB EASTER TOURNAMENT. SOME EXCITING GAMES WITNESSED. A most successful tournament was held on the Lansdowne links during the-weekend, and despite the unsettled weather conditions, some very good and exciting games were witnessed. The following are the results of the various competitions: — Group No.il: Winner, C. Faulknor; runner-up, L. Connolly. Group No. 2: Winner, V. Jones; runner-up, J. H. Cunningham. No. 1 Flight: Winner, W. Taylor; runner-up, H. J. Nitz. No. 2 Flight: Winner, D. J. Carruthers; run-ner-up, A. J. Drew. No. 1 medal: Winner, K. McCalmont; runner-up, H. L. Esau. No. 2 medal: Winner, G. Fisken; runner-up, D. J. Carruthers. No. 3 medal: Winner, G. Fisken; runner-up, J. C. Broad. Stableford: Winner, G. F. Candy; runner-up, L, Connolly.
Bogey: Winner, K. McFarlane. Fourball bogey: Winners, G. F. Candy and G. Fisken. RIVERSIDE CLUB PATRIOTIC TOURNAMENT R BELL WINS EASTER CHAMPIONSHIP The Riverside Golf Club’s Easter tournament, held over the weekend, in aid of the Patriotic Fund, was most successful. The Easter championship was won by R. Bell, who played R. Callender in the final. Both played brilliant golf. Bell’s card was 69 and Callender’s 73. The Riverside handicap was won by G. Murdock who beat R. Wearne at the 19th. , t A In the first flight S. Onion beat A. Levick at the 19th. The final of the second flight will be played next weekend between R. Simpson and F. Roff. Other competitions resulted: Ist medal, D. Parsons; 2nd medal, R. Callander; stableford, R. Bell; fourball bogey, Rex Lulham and R. Bell.
MAHUNGA CLUB MEDAL ROUND RESULTS At the Mahunga Golf Club links at the weekend a medal round competition was played. The best net scores were J. G. MacFarlane 68, J. Price 73.
