Adverse weather has hindered South-West Pacific air operations. Allied Solomons-based aircraft made a further heavy strike against Rabaul, dropping 124 tons of bombs. Of some 60 Japanese interceptors, our 1 escorting fighters shot down 13, with ten others probably destroyed. Our losses were minor.
