AIR FORCE v. NAVY.
NEWMAN HOAR BOWLS WELL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In the match between the Air Force and Navy teams the latter made 253 in the first innings (H. T. Pearson 91). Newman Hoar, the Maste'rton cricketer, put up a fine bowling performance for Air Force in sending down 20 overs and taking four wickets for GO runs. \
At the drawing of stumps, Air Force had 66 up for the loss of 3 wickets.. One of the umpires was Ihe Rev. E. O. Blamires, formerly of Masterton, where he played cricket for the now defunct-United seniors and Wairarapa.
