RESULTS OF LAST NIGHT’S EVENTS. CARNIVAL ON JANUARY 22. The following arc the results of events held by the Masterton Swimming Club last night before a good attendance of the public: — Junior boys: —25 yards breaststroke. M. Gleeson 1, M. Saunders 2. D. Kean 3; 25 yards freestyle. M. Gleeson 1, M. Saunders 2. 1. Reynolds 3; 50 yards freestyle. M. Gleeson .1, I. Reynolds 2. Ladies’ 25 yards freestyle: M. Stewart 1. B. McCormack 2. A. Burton 3. Men’s events:—so yards freestyle: D. Keen 1, G. Whyborn 2, F. Sexton 3; 100 yards freestyle, F. Sexton 1, L. Wickens 2, I. Reynolds a; 25 yards dash, R. May 1, F. Sexton 2, L. Wickens 3. Diving:—Men: M. Gleeson 1, R. Finlayson and D. Keen (equal) 2. Ladies. Miss B. McCormack 1, Miss A. Burton 2. Entries for the club's carnival on January 22, close on Friday, January 14. Included in the events will be a relay race for interhouse girls, teams of 4, for the interhouse swimming cup, and races for primary school boys and I. Reynolds, junior boy, and L. Wickens, intermediate boy, both of the Masterton Club, have been picked to represent the Wellington district at the New Zealand championships in Auckland.
